MHSA INN Project 6 Plan: ​allcove Sacramento ​​

​The draft version of MHSA Innovation (INN) Project 6: allcoveTM Sacramento was posted for public review and comment on the Sacramento County MHSA webpage for thirty (30) days beginning Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The Sacramento County Mental Health Board conducted a Public Hearing to receive public comment on this draft on Wednesday, Sept 6, 2023. The finalized version of ​​INN Project 6: allcove Sacramento was approved by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.​

MHSA Innovation (INN) Program Overview

The Innovation component of MHSA provides funding for projects not to exceed 5 years that do one or more of the following:

  1. Introduce a mental health practice or approach that is new to the overall mental health system, including, but not limited to, prevention and early intervention.
  2. Make a change to an existing practice in the field of mental health, including but not limited to, application to a different population.
  3. Apply to the mental health system a promising community-driven practice or approach that has been successful in non-mental health contexts or settings.

Mental health practices or approaches that have already demonstrated effectiveness are only eligible with an adaptation and rationale for the adaptation. The Primary Purpose of an Innovation project shall be one of the following:

  1. Increase access to mental health services to underserved groups.
  2. Increase the quality of mental health services
  3. Promote interagency and community collaboration related to mental health services and supports or outcomes.
  4. ​Increase access to mental health services.​
