Community Health Promotion

Community health promotion is a coordinated approach to improving the health of Sacramento County residents by addressing the social, environmental, and behavioral factors that shape health outcomes. Programs work to help individuals and communities gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make healthier choices and advocate for better conditions.

Tobacco Education and Prevention

Address tobacco and vape related health disparities through policy, systems and environmental changes. Educate, reduce youth tobacco access, promote cessation, and support the Greater Sacramento Smoke and Tobacco Coalition.

Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention

Staff and parent education, educational materials and resources, and public health awareness campaigns. Case management services and environmental investigations for children exposed to lead.
