Sacramento County ensures compliance with state regulations for EMS education and training programs, including continuing education and certification requirements, and supports the ongoing development of a skilled, competent EMS workforce.
Approved Training Programs
Each program offers the education and skills needed to prepare for EMT certification.
Programs may include:
- Classroom learning
- Skills training
- Clinical or field experience
Get Started
To begin training:
- Review the list of approved programs on the EMSA Training Programs Portal and in the Resources section below
- Contact a training provider for details
- Complete the required training
After finishing a program, you can apply for EMT certification.
