Behavioral Health

Sacramento County Division of Behavioral Health Services provides mental health and substance use services for children, youth, adults, older adults, individuals, and their families throughout our community. We support people at every stage of care — from prevention and early intervention to treatment, recovery, and ongoing support.

We work closely with healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, child welfare agencies, and justice system partners to help residents access services that are timely, coordinated, and culturally responsive.

Services include crisis support, outpatient mental health and substance use treatment, recovery and wellness programs, support services for individuals and their families, housing-related support, and specialized programs for people experiencing homelessness or involved with the justice system.

Our mission is to promote hope, recovery, and well-being by connecting people to care and strengthening the overall health of our community

Our goal is to help individuals achieve stability, recovery, and improved well-being while strengthening the health of our community.
