Medication assisted treatment (MAT) helps people with opioid use disorder feel stable, reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, and stay engaged in care. This outpatient treatment combines medication with counseling and behavioral health support to achieve and sustain long-term recovery and health. A qualified professional will help determine the best medication to support your recovery goals. MAT is a proven evidence-based approach used to help people stop using opioids and minimize withdrawal symptoms.
