The National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) is a new model for submitting continued education units to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for renewal of NREMT registration. Acceptance of this model in NO WAY impacts/changes the State requirements for EMT or AEMT renewal. This model is only for those that want to keep NREMT after receiving State EMT Certification. It is not mandatory to keep NREMT card once State Certified unless a lapse in certification occurs as explained under Certification Reinstatement.
