Applying for WIC is simple! Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ALL appointments are currently being conducted by phone.
You can click here to apply online. You will receive a call from a WIC Counselor within 1-2 business days.
Follow these four easy steps:
Step 1: Find the location closest to you. It is recommended to specify which clinic is closest to you for when we are able to return to having face-to-face WIC appointments.

Step 2: Call us at 916-876-5000 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to
make an appointment.
Our friendly WIC staff will answer your questions about WIC and let you know
what you need to bring to your first appointment. Most of our sites are open
Monday through Friday, except as noted below:
8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: the first two Tuesdays of each month for the Primary Care Center and Grand Avenue locations. (Please note: Late Clinic hours are not available during COVID-19 pandemic.)
8:00 a.m. to
5:30 p.m.: all remaining Tuesdays
9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: the first two Wednesdays of each month for the Rancho Cordova and Florin (South Sacramento) locations. (Please note: Late Clinic hours are not available during COVID-19 pandemic.)

Note: We close for lunch, County holidays, and occasional
staff training days, so it is best to call first for an appointment.
Step 3: Prior to your WIC Appointment, please visit www.wichealth.org, create a new account and complete the Welcome To WIC Orientation Class. Ask your WIC Counselor for instructions prior to your first appointment.
Step 4: Please have the following information available for your scheduled phone appointment. (Please note that all required documentation will be sent electronically to a secured email, then deleted immediately after processing.):
- Identification for everyone (photo ID, birth certificate, medical card, etc.)
- Proof of income (for example: pay stub, Medi-Cal card, unemployment
benefits statement, etc.)
- Proof of address (any document or piece of mail with your address)
