SACRAMENTO, Calif. – On November 19, 2015, a four-hour vigil will be held on the California State Capitol steps recognizing the 39,000 California children currently in foster care awaiting permanent families. Adoptive parents, child advocates, community and business leaders will continually read the name and age of every child in California currently waiting for a family.
WHO:

WHAT:
A continuous reading of the names and ages of all children currently in California foster care awaiting a permanent family. Families of the Year award ceremony, each sponsoring agency will honor a family who successfully adopted in the last year.
WHEN:
November 19, 2015, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
