SEDI Portal Access
Providers will be required to submit electronic claim files (837s) via the DHHS SEDI Portal starting in mid February, 2009. To submit files, providers will need to secure Portal Access Accounts by submitting a signed "DHHS – Information Technology Services, SEDI – SSL VPN Remote Service End User Agreement" and a signed "Information Technology Security Policy" for each user wishing to access the portal. Providers will also be required to be EDI Certified by following the Provider 837 Submission Setup Process.
Features of the Portal Include:
Uploading of 837 transactions
Transaction status tracking
Email notifications of various transaction status and postings
997 transaction postings
835 transaction postings
Provider 837 Submission Setup Process
Providers wishing to submit electronic claim files (837) will be required to complete the New External Provider Inbound 837 Setup Process before DHHS will accept these transactions. The process includes the completion and submission of security documents, working with the DHHS Fiscal and EDI teams through the Testing and Activation Procedures.
