Join the Mental Health Board
Applicants should live in the District for which they are applying. Find out which District you live in here.
There are three types of seats on the Mental Health Board:
- Consumer: individuals who are receiving or have received mental health services
- Family Member: family members of individuals who are receiving or have received mental health services
- Public Interest: individuals who have experience with and knowledge of the mental health system
The Mental Health Board currently has the following open seats:
- Seat 4 - District 3 (Supervisor Desmond) - Family Member
- Seat 10 - District 4 (Supervisor Frost) - Public Interest
- Seat 14 - District 3 (Supervisor Desmond) - Consumer
- Seat 15 - District 4 (Supervisor Frost) - Consumer
If you are interested in serving, please review the Mental Health Board Bylaws and Minimum Duties and submit a completed application. Applications may be found at the Sacramento County Boards and Commissions webpage, and submission instructions are included on the application.
