Behavioral Health Services-Screening and Coordination (BHS-SAC)

The Behavioral Health Services-Screening and Coordination (BHS-SAC) program is the main entry point for mental health and substance use services in Sacramento County. 

The BHS-SAC program helps connect people of all ages to the right services based on their needs. The BHS-SAC program provides screening, information, and referrals to community providers across the County. 

Behavioral Health Services-Screening and Coordination does not provide treatment directly. Instead, the program helps link people to services.

After submitting a request, a program team member will contact you within three business days to follow up. Requests are processed Monday through Friday during business hours. Services are not immediate and depend on screening and availability. 

Open assessment hours may also be available through community providers.
