How do I contact CWRT?

Dial 988

Anyone can receive a CWRT response by calling (or chat/text) 988 to receive support from a crisis line specialist.  If needing an in-person support, the specialist will initiate a three-party call with a CWRT Dispatcher.  The Dispatcher will take lead on the call and ensure a response team meets with you at your chosen location (e.g., home, library, park, etc.).

The community can access the CWRT by calling 988 and directly by calling (916) 999-HOPE (916-999-4673).

What is 988?

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides 24/7/365 chat, text, and hotline coverage throughout the state and nationwide. 988 is staffed with empathetic and extensively trained counselors who provide suicide risk assessments, explore stressors, identify coping skills, resources, collaborative safety planning and follow up calls. 988 also provides warm-transfers as needed to CWRT for Sacramento 988 callers in need of a voluntary mobile response for any mental health crisis.
